Read Before You Apply

Thank you for your interest in joining Dedicated to Event Excellence.

We provide professional event staffing and logistics support for private, public, social, corporate, community, and special events. Our team members may be assigned to a variety of roles based on their experience, availability, qualifications, location, and the specific needs of each event.

We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, service-minded individuals who understand that successful events require teamwork, flexibility, professionalism, and close attention to detail.

Before submitting your application, please review the following information carefully to determine whether event staffing is the right opportunity for you.

What Happens After You Apply

To be considered for available opportunities, complete the job registration form by selecting Apply Now.

Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, employment, or assignment to an event. Our staffing department will review the information provided and may contact qualified applicants for an interview, orientation, skills assessment, document verification, or additional information.

Applicants should provide accurate and complete information regarding their:

  • Work experience
  • Event-related skills
  • Availability
  • Preferred service areas
  • Transportation
  • Certifications
  • Contact information
  • Physical capabilities related to the position
  • Professional references, when requested

Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information may affect eligibility for employment or future assignments.

Our Expectations

At Dedicated to Event Excellence, we take pride in providing our clients with dependable, prepared, and professional event staff.

Every team member represents our company while working an assignment. For that reason, we maintain high standards for communication, conduct, appearance, performance, attendance, and client service.

Team members are expected to:

  1. Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with clients, guests, vendors, supervisors, and fellow team members.
  2. Follow all event instructions, shift details, venue policies, safety procedures, and directions provided by authorized leadership.
  3. Use our staffing application and other approved communication systems to review shifts, receive updates, confirm assignments, submit required information, and support successful event execution.
  4. Arrive on time, properly dressed, prepared to work, and ready to begin at the scheduled start time.
  5. Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance that meets the requirements of the assigned position.
  6. Perform all assigned duties with care, urgency, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
  7. Remain attentive and productive throughout the entire shift.
  8. Treat every guest with courtesy, patience, dignity, and respect.
  9. Work cooperatively as part of a team and assist with approved responsibilities when directed.
  10. Follow the Dedicated to Event Excellence Code of Conduct at all times.

Our goal is to provide a level of service that earns the highest possible satisfaction from every client. Team members should approach each event with the intention of delivering exceptional, professional support.

Attendance and Punctuality

Dependability is essential in the event industry.

Once you accept and confirm a shift, our clients, supervisors, and fellow team members are counting on you to report as scheduled. An unexpected absence or late arrival can affect guest service, event setup, food service, registration, vendor coordination, breakdown, and the overall success of the event.

Before accepting a shift, carefully review:

  • Event date
  • Start and end times
  • Location
  • Travel distance
  • Transportation
  • Parking
  • Pay rate
  • Position
  • Required skills
  • Dress code
  • Grooming standards
  • Physical requirements
  • Setup and breakdown duties

Do not accept an assignment unless you are reasonably confident that you can arrive on time, remain for the full scheduled shift, and perform the responsibilities listed.

Repeated lateness, preventable absences, leaving early without authorization, abandoning an assignment, or failing to follow callout procedures may result in removal from an event and may affect eligibility for future assignments.

We understand that genuine emergencies may occur. Team members must follow the required notification procedures and communicate with the staffing department as soon as reasonably possible.

Shift Availability

Event staffing schedules may vary based on client demand.

Assignments may be available during:

  • Weekdays
  • Weekends
  • Early mornings
  • Evenings
  • Late nights
  • Holidays
  • Peak event seasons

Some shifts may be scheduled well in advance, while others may become available on short notice.

The number of available assignments is not guaranteed. Opportunities may vary based on location, season, event volume, client needs, qualifications, performance history, and availability.

Accepting or Declining Assignments

Available shifts may be posted through our staffing application or communicated through another approved method.

Employees may review the details of each available assignment before choosing whether to accept it.

You may decline a shift when:

  • The pay rate does not meet your needs
  • The event is outside your preferred travel distance
  • You are unavailable
  • You do not have reliable transportation
  • You do not own the required attire
  • You do not meet the stated job qualifications
  • You are unable to perform the listed duties
  • The schedule does not work for you
  • You are unable to comply with the event requirements

There is no obligation to accept every available shift. However, after accepting and confirming an assignment, employees are expected to honor that commitment.

Staffing Application Requirements

Our staffing application is an important part of our operations.

Depending on the assignment, employees may be required to use the app to:

  • Review available shifts
  • Accept or decline assignments
  • Confirm attendance
  • Receive event instructions
  • Review dress-code requirements
  • Access location and parking information
  • Communicate with supervisors
  • Clock in and out
  • Submit documents
  • Upload approved event information
  • Complete checklists or reports
  • Receive schedule changes
  • Review payroll-related information

Employees must have dependable access to a compatible mobile device and should check the application regularly when actively seeking assignments.

Team members are responsible for keeping their contact information and availability current.

Dress Code and Appearance

Dress-code and appearance requirements vary according to the event, position, venue, client expectations, safety needs, and service environment.

When shifts are posted, the required attire will be included in the assignment details whenever available.

Examples may include:

  • Black business attire
  • Black slacks and a white dress shirt
  • Black slacks and a black shirt
  • A vest, tie, or apron
  • Branded polo shirts
  • Event T-shirts
  • Jeans and approved work attire
  • Non-slip shoes
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Safety vests
  • Outdoor or weather-appropriate clothing
  • Client-provided uniforms

Employees should never assume that one uniform is appropriate for every event.

Team members are expected to arrive in clean, properly fitting, wrinkle-free attire that matches the posted requirements. Clothing should be appropriate for the duties being performed and should not interfere with safety, movement, sanitation, or guest service.

Certain events may include themed attire, formal presentation standards, entertainment-related wardrobe, branded clothing, or specific color requirements based on the client’s event design.

Any appearance, grooming, or wardrobe requirement must be connected to the role, safety needs, uniform standard, or legitimate event presentation. Requests will be handled in accordance with company policy and applicable requirements.

Applicants and employees who need a reasonable accommodation related to a disability, medical need, or sincerely held religious practice should contact the staffing department.

Grooming and Personal Presentation

Professional presentation is an important part of event service.

Depending on the assignment, employees may be expected to maintain:

  • Clean and well-kept hair
  • Clean hands and nails
  • Appropriate personal hygiene
  • Neat facial hair
  • Minimal or approved jewelry
  • Fragrance appropriate for close-contact service
  • Makeup suitable for the position, when worn
  • Safe and appropriate footwear
  • Clean uniforms
  • A visible identification badge, when required

Specific requirements will depend on the role. Food service, hospitality, formal events, corporate events, promotional events, and setup assignments may have different standards.

Employees should review every shift carefully and ask questions before accepting when a requirement is unclear.

Physical Nature of Event Work

Event staffing can be physically demanding.

Depending on the position, duties may require employees to:

  • Stand or walk for extended periods
  • Bend, reach, push, pull, or carry items
  • Lift within the stated requirements of the position
  • Move tables, chairs, boxes, equipment, or supplies
  • Work indoors or outdoors
  • Work in heat, cold, wind, or changing weather
  • Travel between multiple areas of a venue
  • Use stairs, elevators, loading docks, kitchens, or service corridors
  • Work in crowded, noisy, or fast-paced environments
  • Remain active for most of the shift

Applicants should carefully review the physical requirements of each position and communicate any limitations or accommodation needs through the appropriate process.

Employees should never perform a task they believe is unsafe, outside the assigned role, or beyond their training. Safety concerns should be reported immediately to an authorized supervisor.

Professional Communication

Professional communication is required before, during, and after each assignment.

Employees are expected to:

  • Respond to important staffing messages promptly
  • Read all shift instructions
  • Ask questions before the event when possible
  • Speak respectfully
  • Avoid arguments in front of guests
  • Follow the reporting structure
  • Protect confidential client and guest information
  • Avoid gossip and inappropriate discussions
  • Report concerns to the proper supervisor
  • Use company communication systems appropriately

Employees should not contact clients directly unless directed or authorized to do so.

Client and Guest Service

Our clients trust us to support events that are important to them.

Every guest should be treated with professionalism, patience, courtesy, and respect.

Employees should:

  • Greet guests appropriately
  • Listen carefully
  • Provide accurate directions
  • Refer questions to the proper person when needed
  • Remain calm during stressful situations
  • Avoid discussing private event matters
  • Never argue with a guest
  • Report complaints or incidents promptly
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries

Employees should not make promises, approve changes, offer refunds, change event plans, or speak on behalf of the company unless authorized.

Teamwork and Flexibility

Events can change quickly. Guest counts may increase, timelines may shift, vendors may be delayed, service areas may need additional assistance, and priorities may change.

Employees should be prepared to adapt while remaining within the limits of their role, training, and safety requirements.

Team members may be reassigned to an appropriate approved duty when event needs change. Flexibility does not mean employees should be expected to perform licensed, unsafe, or specialized duties for which they are not qualified.

Successful event professionals understand how to follow direction, communicate concerns, support the team, and remain solution-focused.

Code of Conduct

All employees are required to follow the Dedicated to Event Excellence Code of Conduct.

Prohibited behavior may include:

  • Harassment
  • Discrimination
  • Threats
  • Violence
  • Fighting
  • Bullying
  • Insubordination
  • Theft
  • Fraud
  • Falsifying time records
  • Possessing or using illegal substances
  • Working while impaired
  • Drinking alcohol while on duty
  • Sleeping during an assignment
  • Abandoning a post
  • Unauthorized photography or recording
  • Sharing confidential information
  • Inappropriate use of social media
  • Soliciting clients without authorization
  • Bringing unauthorized guests
  • Using client property without permission
  • Repeated phone use unrelated to work
  • Disrespectful or disruptive conduct

Violations may result in removal from an event, disciplinary action, loss of future assignments, or termination of employment, depending on the circumstances.

Phones and Personal Devices

Unless the assignment requires mobile-device use, personal phone use should be limited during working hours.

Employees should not:

  • Text socially while assigned to a duty
  • Use social media during active work
  • Record clients or guests
  • Post event photographs without authorization
  • Wear headphones unless approved for the role
  • Take personal calls in guest-facing areas
  • Share event locations or private details online

Phones may be used when required for company communication, timekeeping, emergency contact, or other approved job responsibilities.

Confidentiality and Social Media

Private and corporate events may involve personal information, business discussions, high-profile guests, confidential documents, private ceremonies, or sensitive situations.

Employees may not photograph, record, post, share, or discuss event information without authorization.

This includes:

  • Guest names
  • Photographs
  • Videos
  • Client conversations
  • Event documents
  • Floor plans
  • Vendor information
  • Private incidents
  • Corporate information
  • Celebrity or VIP attendance
  • Security procedures
  • Social media content from restricted events

What happens at a client’s event must be handled with discretion and professionalism.

Transportation and Travel

Employees are responsible for arranging dependable transportation to and from assignments unless the shift details state otherwise.

Before accepting an assignment, consider:

  • Travel time
  • Traffic
  • Parking
  • Public transportation schedules
  • Tolls
  • Fuel
  • Weather
  • Event end time
  • Late-night transportation
  • Distance from your home

Transportation problems do not remove the responsibility to arrive on time.

Plan to arrive early enough to park, locate the correct entrance, complete check-in, and be ready to work at the scheduled time.

Employment Documents and Qualifications

Before working, applicants may be required to complete or provide:

  • Employment eligibility documentation
  • Tax and payroll forms
  • Direct-deposit information
  • Background screening authorization, when applicable
  • Required licenses or certifications
  • Training records
  • Emergency contact information
  • Policy acknowledgments
  • Signed employment documents

Certain roles may require valid certifications, licenses, prior experience, or additional screening.

Do not claim a certification, license, or skill that you do not currently possess.

Performance and Future Assignments

Future assignments may be influenced by:

  • Attendance
  • Punctuality
  • Client feedback
  • Supervisor feedback
  • Professional conduct
  • Communication
  • Skills
  • Experience
  • Availability
  • Dress-code compliance
  • Completion of required documentation
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Teamwork
  • Overall job performance

Receiving an interview, being hired, or completing one event does not guarantee ongoing assignments or a minimum number of hours.

Our goal is to continue offering opportunities to employees who consistently demonstrate reliability, professionalism, strong performance, and a commitment to excellent service.

Is Event Staffing Right for You?

Event staffing may be a good fit for you if you:

  • Enjoy helping others
  • Work well with a team
  • Communicate professionally
  • Follow instructions
  • Arrive on time
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Pay attention to details
  • Can adapt to changing situations
  • Take pride in your appearance and work
  • Are comfortable with a flexible schedule
  • Understand that every role matters
  • Are committed to providing exceptional service

Event staffing may not be the right fit if you frequently cancel commitments, dislike receiving direction, are unwilling to follow event-specific requirements, or prefer a guaranteed and unchanging weekly schedule.
